Produces machined parts by operating, setting up computer numerical control (CNC) Swiss turning centers; maintaining quality and safety standards; keeping records; maintaining equipment and supplies.

-Operate, set up, Swiss CNC machines within specified tolerances following work instructions and in accordance with machine programs and engineering drawings.0Propose new production Set ups and change offsets/tooling in machines as part of the new setup.

-Perform difficult CNC Machinist work including progressive machining of a variety of parts and different metals where very close tolerances must be maintained.

-Read and evaluate blueprints or specifications.

-Troubleshoot and understand CNC programs and processes.

-Propose adjusted speeds and feeds for different machining requirements.

-Perform routine maintenance as per daily machine checklist and adhere to PM schedule.

-Perform hand finishing.

-Achieve set productivity targets and identify ways of improving productivity.

-Record all activities in a timely manner on the job tracking system.

-Identify and escalate manufacturing issues to the Team Leader and/or Supervisor, participating in the resolution as required.

-Performs other duties or special projects as required or as assigned by supervisor;

-Experience set up and operating CNC Swiss machines

-Strong math background, preferable in machine math

-Understand Geometric Tolerancing

-Experience in set-up and troubleshooting of CNC lathe machines a plus

-Programming experience with CNC Lathes a plus.

-Prefer machining experience with aerospace components, devices, or instruments

-Background with manufacturing methods, process improvement programs and procedures required.

-High School Diploma or equivalent

-Must be able to lift 50#

-Frequent standing. walking and sitting at a desk.

-Occasional lifting above shoulder level, stooping, bending, twisting, squatting, pushing and pulling

-Manufacturing facility

-Noise levels can be high depending on the job being run
