  • The Quality Manager is a front-line leadership role that thrives on challenge in the quest for continuous quality improvement, process control, material efficiency, and start-up of new product production. Quality Manager is expected to focus on improving quality processes associated with manufacturing, packaging, and logistics with the goal of reducing customer complaints using excellent skills in communication and problem-solving. The Quality Manager is accountable for quality support for devices, products, and processes. The Quality Manager achieves these goals through active participation and contribution to multifunctional and multi-divisional teams.

    The Quality Manager will supervise and direct activities of the Quality Team

    • Spend considerable amount of time on the manufacturing floor to provide training, conduct quality audits, working on new product introduction, answer quality related questions on the floor and improve quality processes.

    • Manage representative for ISO and maintain the ISO system.

    • Provide guidance and Quality oversight to ensure establishment and execution of robust programs that are aligned with customer requirements and industry standards.

    • Support new product development and existing product sustaining activities to ensure work follows proper design control.

    • Lead containment actions (sorting) required when notified of customer complaints and internal defects.

    • Maintain Metrology & Gage Lab Compliance

    • Identify, investigate, troubleshoot and resolve identified quality issues independently or by working with Manufacturing, Service, Engineering, Management, and department Supervisors.

    • Attend DPAR meetings.

    • Execute completion of APQP documents example: PPAP’s, FAI’s, Control Plan, ISIR, material/steel certification, PFMEA, flow charts, warrant as required.

    • Issue and maintain quality alerts as required.

    • Drive accountability and follow up for MDR (Material Discrepancy Reporting) resolution.

    • Drive root cause and corrective action on quality issues

    • Work with process engineering to drive continuous improvement to processes.

    • Drive accountability to daily MRB meeting

    • Establish, implement, and maintain the quality management system.

    • Schedule and maintain internal audits system.

    • Analyze failure, corrective, and preventive action to respond to customer complaints.

    • Monitor Corrective Actions and customer complaints for trends.

    • Coordinate and develop appropriate training materials in areas related to quality.

    • Exemplify integrity and influence others with respect to company culture, ethics, and procedures.

    • Behave in a professional manner that always represents the Company in the highest ethical standard.

    • Maintain a clean and safe working environment.

    • A minimum of 7 years of Quality or Engineering experience and/or 3 years in Quality Management experience required.

    • Familiar with gages: dial calipers, micrometers, optical comparators, dial bore gages, and CMM.

    • Must be versed with ISO 9001.

    • Must be able to read blueprints, comprehend GD&T, calibrate gages, and comprehend customer specifications.

    • Must have good communication, computer, problem solving and organizational skills.

    • Communicate with customers on quality issues, corrective, and preventative actions.

    • Interact with department supervisors on quality issues.

  • Incumbents in this role will primarily perform their work in both office and production warehouse environment and interact with team members throughout the facility in both office and production warehouse environments.

    The typical workdays and hours for the organization vary depending on the role being performed with potential for extended hours, including weekends or holidays based on business needs.

    This role will typically be expected to perform work Monday – Friday onsite at the Racine, WI facility.

    This role is classified as full-time exempt (salaried) and work is expected to be delivered within established deadlines and quality standards without regard to the typical working days or hours noted above.
